Entering 2023 we are faced with the onset of a recession, the return of inflation, and interest rates that are higher than they have been in a decade. Added to this, the labour market has shrunk because of the ongoing impact of the pandemic, many over-50s leaving work, skills gaps and the knock-on effect of Brexit.

With the cost-of-living crisis causing people to search for better salaries to combat rising prices, salaries and benefits have never been more important.

In this webinar, we were joined by Reed Chairman and CEO James Reed and three other members of Reed’s senior leadership team, across varying sectors, to discuss how you can attract top professionals to your business in 2023, in a candidate-short market, where companies are competing heavily to attract the best people.

Our panellists included:

  • James Reed, Chairman and CEO, Reed

  • Chris Adcock, Managing Director, Reed Technology

  • Claire Harvey, Managing Director, UK Network, Reed

  • Lucie Daluiso, Divisional Managing Director, Further Education

The panellists discussed best practice when it comes to salaries, benefits, candidate attraction, employee value proposition and inclusion and diversity in their specialist sectors. As well as utilising data and insights from our annual suite of salary guides to inform and support your recruitment strategy for 2023.

Our guides cover 14 sectors from accountancy and finance to further education and technology, using data compiled from 16 million jobs that have been posted to Reed.co.uk since 2014, giving you access to the most reliable salary data available on the market. To help inform our insights further, the guide also includes the results of a survey of 5,000 UK workers into their salary and benefits wants and needs.
