At Reed Talent Solutions, we work closely with welfare-to-work organisations and local job centres, to help promote employment opportunities.
This includes everything from attending face-to-face career sessions, providing mock interviews, CV support, and helping unemployed people gain temporary and temporary-to-permanent opportunities within a variety of sectors.
In addition, we provide this support to people who face redundancy or deployment.
As an example, in a three-month period, our Greater Manchester direct sourcing team has attended more than seven careers' fairs in the North West. These include job fairs with Bolton Council, the Department of Work and Pensions team at Wigan Life Centre, Stockport Council, and at Ashton Job Centre Fair.
The visits, which are symptomatic of ongoing work across the country, saw us engage with over 120 people looking for work - from those straight out of college to candidates approaching retirement. We’re committed to attending a large number of fairs throughout the year as part of living and breathing our purpose of improving lives through work.
Reed Talent Solutions Service Delivery Manager, Kirsty Barber, said: “The work we do to promote employment opportunities is indicative of our core aim to provide employment for all.
“We work hard to help people have the vitally important skills they need to gain employment, with our career and CV support sessions proving hugely popular and making sure people are able to take the next steps on their career paths.”
