Contingent worker managed service solutions have been in existence for over 20 years.
Visibility, control, standardisation of supply chains, and improved rates through the aggregation of spend have bought significant and long-lasting benefits to organisations.
In second and third generation models, the focus shifted to incorporate management of contractor risk - both employment and IR35, standardisation of rate cards, and wider procurement initiatives such as environment social and governance (ESG).
However, pricing at a sustainable level and savings remain critical components on the procurement agenda. So how do you continue to make savings on non-permanent labour?
Our panel of expert speakers – Managing Consultant at Consultancy+ Ailsa Hegarty; Principal Consultant at Proxima Christine Morton; Operations Director at Evolving Solutions Jamie O'Connor explored how cost savings can be delivered in mature contingent resource programmes.
During the event, they discussed:
Identifying and classifying current non-permanent provision that could be delivered via a managed service programme
New requirements
How a services procurement programme can be adopted to manage risk and value when being delivered via a statement of work and consultancy interventions
