With the UK facing an acute talent shortage exacerbated by the pandemic, Brexit and other factors, organisations are struggling to attract people with the skills they need to flourish.
Reports revealed the UK is on track for an economic inactivity rate among 15- to 75-year-olds of 30.8% by 2030, the highest level since 2001. The rate currently stands at 29.5%. In the recent spring budget set out by Jeremy Hunt, it was clear the Chancellor is hoping to entice some of the nine million ‘economically inactive’ to return to work.
In our webinar, Louise Reed, Solutions Director at Reed Talent Solutions, Amy Clark, Category Buyer (HR Services) at YPO, Gina Poole, Head of Workplace Solutions at 55/Redefined, and Roger Mason, Learning Solutions Director at Reed Learning, explored the hiring and skills challenges faced by local authorities, social housing providers and universities, and passed on best practice advice and insight around how they can be addressed through innovative, new approaches.
