Organisations that can attract, recruit and embed talent from Generation Z, defined as those born between 1997 and 2012, have the best chance of success in what has become a rapidly changing world of work - according to Reed Talent Solutions’ Solutions Director, Louise Reed.

A Reed Talent Solutions survey of 1,000 HR and hiring managers at organisations with more than 1,000 employees found three-quarters of those leaders believe there’s a gap between the skills their organisation has and those it needs to succeed.

But how can businesses recruit and retain the talent they need to address such skills gaps, and why should they be looking towards Gen Z to do so?

Our webinar, ‘How to recruit and retain Gen Z’, will look at:

  • The strategies organisations should employ to find the best talent from this cohort

  • What attracts Generation Zers to a company

  • How this rich source of early talent can be retained when job hopping is prevalent in this generation.

Join Reed Talent Solutions’ Solutions Director – Future Skills, Louise Reed, Leadership Coach, Alex Atherton, and Gen Z Career Coach, Claire MacLeod, as they offer expert opinion and advice on how to recruit and retain Gen Z.

Alex Atherton – Leadership Coach and Speaker

Alex Atherton is a Gen Z expert, an experienced educator and leadership coach. He worked in education for 25 years, primarily as a secondary school headteacher in large inner-London comprehensives.

He is an authority on Gen Z straight from the frontlines. As a former secondary school headteacher he heard the word ‘snowflake’ used once too often to describe his former students. Alex has spent over a decade immersed in the mindset of this misunderstood generation, getting to the core of what makes them tick.

As a Leadership Coach and Speaker, Alex supports organisations to understand, recruit, retain and engage Gen Z, the youngest generation in the workplace. He also helps them turn a multi-generational workplace into an asset which drives productivity rather than a hindrance which affects the bottom line.

Claire MacLeod – Gen Z Career Coach

Claire recently pivoted from a 20-year career in executive search to become a Gen Z Career Coach, merging her extensive employment experience with her passion for guiding young people towards fulfilling careers, based in no small part on her experience of raising her own Gen Z son.

Claire now uses her unique perspective and passion, honed during a career which is a testament to her adaptability and entrepreneurial spirit to make a significant impact on young people’s lives.

A graduate of Lancaster University, Claire has previously co-founded and managed a success touring theatre company and while managing a holiday resort in Greece oversaw £2m worth of equipment by the age of 24. Her wide-ranging career has also seen her deliver experiential programmes for thousands of London Underground Engineering Directorate employees and work as a regional manager for the Canadian Mental Health Association.
